This recreation ground in the residential centre of Lewisham serves a number of schools and clubs. It was significantly uneven with no consistent gradient and was prone to water-logging.
A shallow cut to fill grading operation and the installation of protective swales improved the degree of run-off. In addition, a primary and secondary drainage system was installed together with a central synthetic grass wicket and the re-surfacing of wickets enclosed on practice nets.
The facility is well used and provides a junior rugby pitch, two football pitches, a cricket wicket and practice nets. A high degree of maintenance has been maintained.
