This football complex was designed and built by a reputable sports pitch contractor.
The pitches were constructed by importing fill material secured somewhere else on the site.
The heavy loam topsoil warranted the installation of lateral and slit drains.
However, the surface was very uneven and grass vigour was notably depressed.
Filling the depressions was not considered to be viable and it was recommended that the grass cover was sprayed with glyphosate, the pitch re-graded and seeded.
If lateral and slit drains are contaminated It may warrant the re-installation of the drainage system.
