This training ground in Raynesway, Derby was managed by the club up to about 2003 and then abandoned.
Following dispute over the use of the facility an assessment was required together with estimates for the complete renovation of the grounds.
Situated in low-lying ground there were apparently difficulties in installing satisfactory drainage measures.
A mound separated the ground from a river but there was no evidence of any pipe drainage.
The site was intensely overgrown with tree growth within the boundaries and there was further encroachment with bramble, Budleia and Elder. The pitch area was densely covered with mixed grasses and weeds.
