Sports Pitch Consultant

Sports pitches are notorious for having drainage problems, making playing conditions poor. It doesn’t matter whether the pitch is for football, cricket, rugby, or any other activity, an essential ingredient is sound drainage.

I have been working for many years with councils, schools, the private sector, and institutions, and my role ranges from consultancy on existing sports pitch challenges to full project management of sports pitch construction.

If you have an existing sports pitch problem or are considering the construction of a new sports pitch, you may wish to refer to testimonials I have received from clients.

"Gordon has assisted our practice now on a number of projects in which the construction of new playing fields, or the improvement of existing playing fields, has been required. His work has always been to the highest standard and, despite the vagaries of the weather and the planning system, Gordon has always delivered a quality product on time and to budget."
Richard Parsons - Hertford Recreation Centre

"Gordon has always given us expert advice and guidance ensuring that our grass pitches are of the best quality. He led our project to build two new grass pitches and an irrigation system with enthusiasm and the utmost care and attention. The quality of the pitches, drainage and irrigation system has proved to be of an exceptionally high quality."
Dan Levy - Maccabi London Recreational Trust

"Hertfordshire County Council has been advised by Gordon Jaaback as a consultant in the development of sports pitches since October 2002.  He has undertaken feasibility studies, prepared contract documents, organised tender processes and managed the implementation of contracts to satisfactory completion within budget, on time and to the required quality."
Colin Cooper - Yavneh College

"Gordon Jaaback was commissioned by the Heathfield and Waldron Rugby Football Club and the Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council to carry out the design and project management of the Clubs new rugby pitch at Heathfield. Despite considerable drainage problems, working with Wealden clay and a very tight budget Mr Jaaback turned one of the worst pitches in Sussex into arguably the best and on which, County matches can now be played. The pitch is simply magnificent and has been instrumental in promoting the club at all levels. The pitch was delivered on time and to budget."
