Drainage

Drainage is the removal of excess water collecting above or below the soil surface and thus is divided into two broad classes: surface and underground drainage. Some drainage installations will incorporate both situations.

Gordon Jaaback has the experience to undertake the detailed investigations necessary for the development of a successful drainage installation.

Surface Drainage

Surplus rainfall or water run-off is unable to enter the soil surface or penetrate impermeable layers.

Underground Drainage

Water accumulates underground by virtue of a rising water table or seepage through permeable layers.

Drainage provisions and installation will be dependent on the drainage rate required (the rate at which water is to be removed). Demands are much higher on premier sporting venues when play must continue or commence soon after high intensity rainfall.
