As the most vital resource in turfgrass management, the controlling of the water status remains the most important day-to-day concern of the Golf Course manager or Groundsman. A major proportion of the annual maintenance budget is allocated to Irrigation and Drainage and hence constant assessment and upgrading of these two essential needs is paramount.

Weather

Recorded weather measurements are a back up to all maintenance work carried out on turfgrass areas. The associated weather conditions with every treatment give added reason for success or failure and tabulated records enable judgement leading to ensuing action to be sound. Furthermore, besides measuring the essential elements that indicate the extent of water use, the automatically controlled weather station enables the monitoring of daily measurements in forecasting the onset of disease and insect attack.
